Summary

The Research Tribe is an email-based ‘mystery shopping’/online rewards portal.

That is, rather than provide their own offers, they will link you to other online rewards companies.

The Research Tribe claim that this aggregate approach allows them to ‘negotiate better rewards’ for you.

As far as I can tell, the Research Tribe is not a scam.

However, even though the opportunities that they offer appear to be legitimate.

You’re not going to be able to make a full-time income by completing the associated tasks.

Research Tribe is best suited to those who want to be kept up to date with the latest online rewards opportunities.

And earn some extra pocket money on the side.

Pros

  • Free to join.
  • Earn extra money doing online tasks.

Cons

  • Low long-term earning potential.
  • Not a ‘real’ online job.

Welcome to my Research Tribe review. 🙂

Finding a legitimate work from home job opportunity is tough.

At least, that’s been the case in my experience.

Because even when you factor out the somewhat more obvious scams like envelope stuffing and assembly jobs.

It’s still quite easy to end up getting sucked into multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes.

Or working for pennies on the hour doing data entry jobs.

Even if I’ve gone through a ‘legit’ job search engine like Indeed, or trawled through a job board like e4s.

And that’s exactly how I ended up signing up to the UK-based Research Tribe company.

So…

Is the Research Tribe a legit work from home opportunity?

Or just another let-down?

Well, after a short while of testing their services.

Here’s what I discovered.

What is Research Tribe?

The Research Tribe is an online rewards portal.

That is, when you sign up, you’ll be periodically sent emails that direct you to other online rewards sites.

For example, I had one that linked through to the 20 Cogs website.

Where I was able to register with various merchant websites for cash rewards.

How Does Research Tribe Work?

You’re basically joining an email list.

As opposed to registering for a standalone ‘rewards’ website that pays you directly.

So, technically, you could skip joining the Research Tribe.

And just go directly to the rewards websites themselves.

However, if you go through the Research Tribe, they claim to be able to:

‘…negotiate better rewards and get you some exclusive research opportunities you won’t find anywhere else’.

I didn’t sign up to all of their offers.

So, I can’t verify if this is actually the case.

(Let me know in the comments section if you got a better deal by going through the Research Tribe’s portal).

Is Research Tribe a Scam?

Not as far as I can tell.

I’ve not uncovered anything that makes me thing they are a malicious data harvesting scam like Clout Bucks.

Nor have I received any spam emails since joining their list.

In fact…

I’ve only received a handful of research opportunities since joining.

And I’ve certainly not been asked to join any MLM programmes or buy anything.

The Research Tribe is a registered company – trading as Well Branded Ltd.

Is Research Tribe a Legit Work from Home Opportunity?

The Research Tribe do appear to offer legitimate opportunities.

And you can make money with their associated online rewards platforms like 20 Cogs.

But can you earn a full-time income from home doing this?

Almost certainly not.

And to be fair, the Research Tribe do state that their goal is to simply ‘boost your income’ each month on their website.

Even if the ‘job search’ advert that you clicked on did lead you to believe otherwise.

Would I Recommend Research Tribe?

Do you like making money completing online tasks?

Such as doing surveys, entering competitions, and signing up to websites?

Then yes.

Joining the Research Tribe could help you find more of these opportunities.

If not?

My General Thoughts on Rewards Platforms

I’ve been involved in making money online since 2007.

And whilst legitimate ‘mystery shopping’ opportunities are certainly preferable to the plethora of scams that I’ve come across.

Completing online tasks isn’t the most lucrative strategy that I’ve used.

Far from it.

How I Made £600 in One Day Online

Setting up my own online affiliate business has proved to be very lucrative indeed.

Just the other day I made $754.60 (about £600) from a single affiliate sale.

And the article that generated that cash only took me a few hours to write.

Now…

It has taken me quite a few months to build my website up to the point where I can earn that type of money passively.

But I’d never have got there if I’d instead been wasting my time trying to earn pocket money with online survey sites.

And I’ll show you how you can get started on the same path today.

By using the same resource to set up your own online affiliate business from scratch.
