Horse racing tipsters come and go.
Quentin Franks Racing, however, launched in July 2014.
And now forms the backbone of the Betting Gods professional tipster stable.
(With Quentin’s second service – QF Value Tips – launching in October 2015).
But a casual glance at Quentin Franks Racing results reveals that he spent much of 2017 treading water.
However, a scorching return to form sees this premium service now making a bee-line for the
£11,000 £12,000 lifetime profit mark.
And if such excitement has piqued your interest – this Quentin Franks Racing review will help you decide if you should join up or not.
Because I trialled Quentin Franks Racing for 90 betting days.
And here’s what I discovered.
UPDATE: Can Quentin Break the £12,000 Mark?
Quentin has now smashed through the £11,000 profit target.
And is now heading towards the £12,000 mark:
What is Quentin Franks Racing?
Quentin Franks racing is a professional horse racing tipster service that operates out of the Betting Gods tipster management platform.
Here’s a full service breakdown:
A Short Interview With Quentin Frank
Here are the answers to a few questions that I asked Quentin.
When Did Your Interest in Betting Begin?
“I first got into betting through my Dad who liked a flutter on the horses, so I’d have the occasional dabble when I was a youngster on the names of a horse I liked.
My first foray into watching racing live came at the 2001 Epsom Derby when I backed Tobougg. Certainly, Frankie Dettori riding was a factor in the selection process – Galileo won and has since gone onto be a super sire – but that day had me hooked”.
When Did You Decide to Go Pro?
“My betting progressed further into a weekly football accumulator and more racing bets. If memory serves, the one bet that made me want to turn a profit from gambling was when I followed my team Crystal Palace up and down the country week in week out. I backed draw half-time – Newcastle FT… we lost two-nil but the bet landed and there was no looking back for me then.
“When I turned 19 I started making a fair amount of money on the overnight markets and running a local tipping service in my local pub. I thought the game was easy (how wrong was I) – so I upped sticks left my job and set out on the road as pro punter.
As many people have learnt – those overnight accounts started to get shut down quickly and I had to adapt my punting to playing on the day of the race.”
How Do You Go About Picking Your Selections?
“In terms of form study it’s hard for me to put a definitive answer on the time I spend studying form – because for me it’s a passion.
“But generally I’ll spend time looking through the runners at the 5/6 day entry stage to see if there’s anything of interest in the coming days, watch the previous day’s flat racing back – taking notes on various horses for the future – and then go through the following day’s cards; pricing races that I feel I have found an angle into.”
How Do You Make Money With Quentin Franks Racing?
First, decide how much money you’re prepared to risk using this system and divide it by 100 points.
This will tell you how much to bet in £’s for each point quoted per selection.
For example, a £200 betting bank would mean staking at £2 per-point because:
(£200/100 points) = £2/1 point
And so, a 3-point tip would equate to a £6 bet because:
(£2/1 point) x (3 points) = £2 x (3/1 points) = £6
Then, once you’ve subscribed, you should go ahead and place the tips as soon as they land in your inbox in the morning.
Does it Work?
On paper – yes.
However, a big problem with this service is obtaining the prices quoted.
Myself and others noticed that the prices would be cut very quickly with the advised bookmakers shortly after issue.
And taking a worse price will kill the value of the bets.
What are the Risks?
Losing runs are pretty much part and parcel of following any tipping service.
And with average odds of 6.75 – Quentin Franks Racing could indeed take you into some deep waters.
Furthermore, past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
So, you’ll have to trust that Quentin can continue to deliver results in the future.
What Can Be Done About the Losing Runs?
Cashing out free bets is a great way to build up your bankroll and take the sting out of those rough patches.
And because you’re betting to cover all outcomes – there’s no gambling involved.

My Quentin Franks Racing Trial Results
Here’s what happened when I tried Quentin Franks Racing for 90 betting days:
If I’d managed to secure the prices exactly as quoted – I’d have made +56.4 points.
Quite a difference.
Indeed, the average odds advised came to 6.68.
Mine came to 5.87 – which also included BOG.
How Much Does a Quentin Franks Racing Subscription Cost?
At the time of writing, you can get your first 7 days of tips for £1.
An ongoing subscription costs £59 per month.
But the annual option will save you the most money.
Is There a Refund Policy?
You can claim 100% of your money back within 30 days of purchase.
Quentin Franks Racing User Testimonials – What Do Others Think?
As you’d expect, the recent good run has sparked a lot of positive Quentin Franks Racing reviews.
And of course, the obligatory ‘this bloke’s useless’ comments during the losing periods.
Which is pretty standard stuff.
My Opinion: A Proven Tipster With an Edge
This system certainly has an edge.
The average odds of 6.75 implies that only 14.81% of all bets placed should win because:
(100/6.75) = 14.814…
However, the recorded win rate for the same sample size is 22.70%, which maps to equivalent odds of 4.41 because:
(100/22.70) = 4.405…
Clearly, Quentin knows enough about horse racing to beat the odds because:
6.75 > 4.41
In other words, winning at a rate of 22.70% whilst getting paid at odds of 6.75 is what has resulted in almost £11,000 in historical profit to date.
Dealing with the Price Problem
However, a system with an edge is about as much use as a pair of lead armbands if you can’t consistently secure the prices quoted.
To get around this rather prevalent problem, you have two options:
- Use OddsChecker to find an equivalent price with another bookmaker.
- Take an equivalent value price on the betting exchange.
If you decide to take the second option, don’t forget to factor in the appropriate exchange commission that’s applied to winning bets.
You can do this by inputting the appropriate values into this formula:
Equivalent exchange value price = ((quoted decimal odds – 1) / (1 – decimal exchange commission )) + 1
For example, a tip advised at decimal odds of 2.0 should be matched at odds of 2.05 on the Betfair Exchange – when factoring in the 5% commission – because:
((2.0 – 1) / (1 – 0.05)) + 1 = 2.0526…
- Historically profitable.
- Has a legitimate edge.
- Scope to use on the betting exchanges.
- An established service.
- 100% money-back guarantee for 30 days.
- Bundled pricing plans to keep long-term costs down.
- Prices often difficult to obtain.
