My Money Pocket is a cashback site that allows you to make money on the purchases that you’d normally make online.

It’s still early days for My Money Pocket at the time of writing, but I have no reason to believe that My Money Pocket is a scam.

With that said, there are a few precautions that I think you should take before signing up to My Money Pocket. See the full review below for more details.

  • Earn money on purchases that you normally make.
  • Looks like a legit site.

  • Sometimes cashback won’t track or will be declined.
  • Not a reliable way to make money online.

At the time of writing, My Money Pocket is a brand new cashback website that’s starting to gain popularity.

Now, over the years I’ve reviewed a LOT of these sorts of ‘get paid to’ style websites.

And whilst there are some legitimate ones out there like 20 Cogs, OhMyDosh, and Swagbucks…

I’ve also exposed a worryingly large amount of sites that have actually turned out to be malicious data harvesting scams – such as Paid4Clout.

So, is My Money Pocket a scam or a legit opportunity to make some money?

That’s what I’ll be revealing in this honest My Money Pocket review.

What is My Money Pocket?

My Money Pocket is a cashback site.

This means that you can earn money by going through the My Money Pocket website to make online purchases and transactions.

If you go to the My Money Pocket website and hover over the ‘categories’ section, you’ll see a huge range of ways to get cashback for making purchases that you normally would online.

For example, you can get cashback on fashion, food and drink, electricals, travel, utilities, home and garden, and much more.

Some of the more obscure categories include gambling products, free trials, competitions, and surveys.

Who’s Behind My Money Pocket?

Top Benefit Schemes Limited is behind My Money Pocket.

I believe this company is also responsible for the very popular TopCashback website.

The contact address for Top Benefit Schemes Limited is Temeraire House, Nelson Court, Staffordshire Technology Park, Staffordshire ST18 0WQ.

How Does My Money Pocket Work?

The first thing you need to do is create a free My Money Pocket account.

The next is to go to the category where you’d like to earn cashback.

Here for example, I’ve gone to ‘travel’ and then ‘holidays’.

Where I can now view the list of cashback deals for several brands.

Claiming the cashback is as simple as clicking the ‘get offer’ button and then selecting the offer I’d like.

I then click the next ‘get offer’ button to go to the merchant website where I then go ahead and make my purchase as normal.

Back on the My Money Pocket website, you’ll see a message that tells you that your visit has been recorded and the cashback will appear in your account within 7 days.

How Does My Money Pocket Make Money?

My Money Pocket makes money using the affiliate business model.

This means that when you click their links and make a purchase – My Money Pocket gets paid a commission from the target merchant.

Instead of keeping all of this money for themselves, they give a percentage of it back to you.

This is how My Money Pocket are able to offer you cashback.

The affiliate business model is totally legit.

I have used it myself over the years to make money from review sites such as this.

If you are interested in making money from affiliate marketing you can find out more here.

How Long Does it Take to Get Paid?

It apparently takes 7 days for the cashback transaction to appear in your account.

Your cashback is withdrawable when it shows as ‘payable’ in your account.

It can take up to 90 days for this to happen.

The wait is typically because My Money Pocket can only pay you once they have first been paid by the merchant.

You can withdraw your cash straight to your bank account or via PayPal.

What Can Go Wrong?

Sometimes cashback doesn’t track.

If your cashback transaction has not shown up after 7 days then you should contact support to file a missing cashback claim.

In some cases, your cashback may be declined by the merchant.

Is My Money Pocket a Scam or Legit?

It’s still very early days for My Money Pocket at the time of writing.

So there’s not much genuine user feedback available online at the moment – I couldn’t find any MyMoneyPocket reviews anywhere online.

However, based on what I know about the parent company and how this site operates, it’s my opinion that My Money Pocket is a legit cashback site and NOT a scam.

With that said, there are a few things that I think you should keep in mind when using My Money Pocket.

And that’s what I’d like to discuss now.

My Thoughts On My Money Pocket

I’ve been using cashback sites like My Money Pocket for many years now.

And the same points of caution keep cropping up.

So, if you’re going to use My Money Pocket, then here’s what I think you should keep in mind.

1: Watch Out For Automatic Rebills

This won’t apply to every merchant.

But if you’re trying to get cashback from certain gambling sites like the lottery or subscription based deals – you need to watch out for automatic rebills.

I say this because when I once signed up to a lottery merchant with a different cashback site, the only way I could qualify for the cashback was to agree to being rebilled after a fixed time had expired.

The only problem was that cancelling wasn’t exactly easy – I had to phone up and I had real difficulty getting through.

So the point is that you should check the fine print to see what the conditions are for claiming the cashback.

Because an unexpected rebill could end up cancelling out the cashback that you received.

2: Use Real-Time Anti-Malware Protection

Ok, call me a tinfoil hat wearing weirdo – but I honestly think that you should have a real-time antivirus and anti-malware suite installed if you’re going to be visiting a lot of new websites.

Because even when dealing with seemingly legit websites, I’ve been saved a few times from having a trojan or other nasty piece of tracking code being installed on my device.

Better to be safe than sorry in my view.

3: Set Up a Different Email Address

When it comes to signing up to the cashback merchants, I like to have a totally separate email address and mobile number.

This means that I can keep all of the spam and promotional stuff away from my personal accounts.

4: Make Sure Your Cashback Tracks Properly

Sometimes cashback won’t track – it’s part of the cashback game.

But there are a few things that you can do to increase your chances of cashback tracking properly.

Such as:

  • Clear your cookies and cache BEFORE starting a new cashback session.
  • Always sign in to your My Money Pocket account BEFORE visiting the merchant site.
  • Make sure you click through to the merchant site from My Money Pocket.
  • Turn off your ad blocker.

  • Earn money on purchases that you normally make.
  • Looks like a legit site.

  • Sometimes cashback won’t track or will be declined.
  • Not a reliable way to make money online.

Conclusion: Ok For Extra Pocket Money

Based on what I’ve seen so far?

I personally think that My Money Pocket is a legit cashback site and not a scam.

With that said, you should be under no illusion that you can make a lot of money with My Money Pocket.

My Money Pocket is best viewed as a way to earn a bit of extra cash whilst buying things that you normally would.

What Are The Alternatives?

If you’re over 18 and live in the UK or Ireland and want to make more money for your time (up to £500 or more each month) – check out matched betting with OddsMonkey.

But if you’re looking to make a full time income online?

Then affiliate marketing is the way to go.

Because as I said earlier, My Money Pocket use the affiliate marketing business model to successfully make money online.

But you don’t have to go to the trouble of setting up a cashback website.

I have made 5-figures from multiple websites simply by reviewing products and inserting affiliate links.
