What do I know about Igor Kheifets and his solo ads?
Around 18 months ago I was looking for some paid traffic to send to my squeeze page for a digital product that I’d created.
Because Facebook had recently given me the boot due to being in the ever-toxic ‘make money online’ niche.
Began my descent into the unscrupulous world of solo ads.
After naively purchasing a gig on Fiverr (don’t laugh) and getting ripped off courtesy of some fake opt ins…
I stumbled my way on to Igor Kheifets’ blog…
Where I ended up ‘applying’ for the ‘privilege’ of paying for his leads.
After eventually jumping through the required hoops…
I was in the position to buy a few hundred clicks for a price that I can’t quite recall.
All I remember is that I bottled it based on my assessment that the seemingly high cost-per-click would lead to a negative ROI in my case.
Why have I bothered to write this Igor Kheifets solo ads review if I never actually bought any traffic from him?
Because I’ve been on his email lists ever since.
And I’ve got a pretty good idea as to how he operates.
I’ve collected some positive and negative feedback from people who have actually bought traffic from him.
The details of which I’ve listed below…
And should thus hopefully help you make a more informed decision if you’re thinking about buying solo ads from Igor Kheifets.
Who is Igor Kheifets?
Igor Kheifets is an internet marketer.
His primary business appears to be that of selling solo ads to product owners and affiliate marketers in the ‘make money online’ and ‘biz-opp’ niches.
But Igor does a few other things too.
One of which is doing JV launches with other internet marketers.
I’ve had emails appear in my inbox from Igor linking to products from the likes of Michael Cheney (7 Figure Franchise).
There were a few more whose names that I can’t remember.
But I sat in on some of the webinars and they were all mostly DFY (‘done for you’) online business packages.
Igor will often take the results from these affiliate campaigns…
And use them as payment proof to push his solo ads and high-ticket coaching offers on his webinars.
Which is pretty smart.
But that’s not all…
Igor also accepts applications on his website for people who want to work for his ‘7-figure internet marketing business’.
I actually applied for this.
But I never heard anything back. *
*Sound of tiny violin plays in the background.
Who is Dennis Ray?
Dennis Ray works for Igor.
In fact, all of my correspondence for the solo ads application was handled by Dennis.
He seemed like an ok guy.
Although I suspect that English isn’t his first language.
What Kind of Marketing Tactics Does Igor Use?
The front-end of his website uses fairly disarming marketing tactics in my view.
Although it does make some pretty bold promises (more on these below).
And I assume the solo ads application process is to filter out tyre kickers (which is fair enough).
But once I’d gotten on to his lists?
I noticed that FOMO (‘fear of missing out’) was the primary marketing strategy used.
There was also a lot of sensationalism too.
Such as saying that ‘X traffic source is DEAD’, ‘why he no longer uses ClickBank’, or that ‘traffic is changing’.
It was also quite common for him to say that he wasn’t going to offer any replays for his webinars…
But then allowing them as a ‘favour’ for a limited time only.
Luckily for me…
I was already savvy to these marketing strategies at the time.
So I didn’t end up making any pressure-based purchasing decisions.
And I’d always encourage you to walk away from the computer and have a good think before deciding to spend money on ANY sort of IM product.
Because it’s quite easy to end up buying something you don’t need once you’re ‘on the hook’.
What Does Igor Promise From His Solo Ads?
According to the claims on his website?
Igor’s Solo Ads promises:
- Handpicked leads.
- Leads in the ‘buyers stage’.
- No tyre kickers.
- 100% top tier traffic – US (90%), Canada, AUD, NZ (10%).
- ‘Risk-free guarantee’.
What’s Igor’s Risk-Free Guarantee?*
The website states that:
‘Either you get the conversions you need or you don’t pay’.
But what does that actually mean?
According to Igor’s Refund Policy:
‘…we guarantee a min 30% optin rate (50% optin rate on Enhanced, Distilled or Clean Verified traffic orders) on your upcoming advertising campaign’.
‘This guarantee is valid for as long as you use an Igor Solo Ads LTD email capture page, which we will build for you free of charge and connect it to your email autoresponder (Getresponse, Sendlane or any other autoresponder that is compatible with our systems)’.
‘If you choose to run your advertising without our squeeze page, you forfeit the Optin Insurance guarantee. We will deliver the traffic to a landing page of your choice, but we won’t be able to guarantee results. We will use our in-house tracking software as the benchmark tracker for your campaign. 3rd party tracking software such as ClickMagic, Bit.ly, LinkTracker, ClickMeter, TinyURL and others won’t be considered as valid data.
How Much Do Igor Kheifets Solo Ads Cost?
I can’t remember the exact price quoted in my case.
But I remember thinking that it was very expensive.
Other reports online claim that prices range from $0.35 per click to $1.75 per click.
If you know the exact amount…
Please let me know in the comments section at the end of the post.
Is There a Refund Policy?*
The refund policy states that you’ll get ‘…an immediate no hassle refund or a full free resend of your entire ad campaign to a website of your choice…’ if you don’t get the promised opt in rate.
But as stated earlier.
The refund policy is conditional.
This means that if you DON’T use their squeeze page – you can’t claim a refund.
The refund policy only covers opt ins and not actual sales.
Can You Cancel Your Order?*
The refund policy states that you can cancel your campaign ‘for any reason’ as long as they haven’t started delivering it.
But you’ll be charged a 20% cancellation fee.
Is Igor Kheifets a Scammer?
In my opinion?
Igor Kheifets is NOT a scammer.
Because although I’m not really a fan of his email marketing tactics…
He does appear to be running a legitimate business.
Refund and cancellation policies can change.
Always check them for yourself before buying.
Are Igor Kheifets Solo Ads Worth It?
Even though Igor seems to be operating a legitimate business…
Should you actually buy his solo ads?
Are you going to get high-quality opt ins?
Here are some good and bad reviews of Igor’s solo ads that I found online.
Good Igor Kheifets Solo Ads Reviews
I found a thread on SoloAdDirectory.com…
Where the vast majority of the people that claim to have bought solo ads from Igor Kheifets have had good experiences.
Bad Igor Kheifets Solo Ads Reviews
I managed to find some not so good reviews on Scamion.com…
One of the more lengthy complaints goes into how he had problems with people not buying after opting in.
Some the claims were quite serious:
‘He [Igor] wanted me to use his capture page so that he could use a script and inject fake leads into my auto-responder! Then he used stolen credit cards to make a few purchases so that it looks like I got sales from the solo ad but is all smoke and mirrors’.
With others claiming that…
The traffic was ‘worthless’.
And some complaints about not being able to get a refund.
Pros v Cons
Here’s how I think the pros and cons stack up for Igor’s solo ads service.
- High quality leads.
- 30% opt in rate guarantee (conditional).
- Lots of positive user reviews online.
- Some negative user reviews online.
Conclusion: High-Quality Leads at a Price
In my opinion?
I think that based on my research…
If you buy solo ads from Igor Kheifets you’re probably going to get high-quality leads.
But what about the scathing negative reviews?
I’m not an affiliate for Igor.
So I’ve no real reason to defend him.
But the comparatively small number of negative reviews pertained mostly to what the lead did AFTER they opted in.
I have no way of knowing if Igor sent ‘fake traffic’ to that customer or not.
But Igor only promises to get opt ins.
Because the sales element brings many other subjective variables into play that extend beyond Igor’s control.
And whilst I obviously can’t say for sure…
I personally feel that some of the negative reviews were from people who may have had leaks in their sales funnel.
And then came up with conspiracy theories to gloss over their own shortcomings.
(Using scripts to inject fake leads and using stolen credit cards to make fake purchases? I highly doubt that actually happened).
With that said…
His traffic isn’t the cheapest out there if the $1.75 price-point is accurate.
Which brings me to my concluding point…
One that extends to purchasing solo ads in general in my view.
Make Sure Your Funnel is Proven FIRST!
Before throwing big money at an opt in page…
You should have tested that funnel first to make sure that it’s converting so that you have some exact figures to work with to estimate your ROI.
Because a classic newbie mistake is to send paid traffic to an untested offer and hope for the best.
And that’s probably not going to end well.
That’s why it’s a good idea to use free traffic to test your funnel first.
How Can You Test a Funnel for Free?
Before paying for a single lead?
I’ll test my funnel with free traffic captured from the search engines.
And by targeting the right keywords and playing with my websites UX…
I can quickly fire relevant traffic to an offer without spending a single penny.
For example, I recently had 85 people sign up to an affiliate promotion out of 307 unique clicks.
And whilst the affiliate offer was free (with upsells in the back)…
It did still require more effort and hops to sign up than simply entering an email address.
So I was pretty happy with my 27.7% conversion rate.
Especially since I didn’t have to spend any money.
